A memorial Mass will be held at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 31, 1997, at Holy Spirit Church. Mrs. Testroet, 89, died Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at Carroll Health Center nursing home in Carroll, her home the last three years. The Rev. Steven McLoud will officiate the service. Lectors will be Keith Testroet and Kim Griger. A memorial Mass will be held at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 31, 1997, at Holy Spirit Church. Mrs. Testroet, 89, died Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at Carroll Health Center nursing home in Carroll, her home the last three years. The Rev. Steven McLoud will officiate the service. Lectors will be Keith Testroet and Kim Griger. Casket bearers will be her sons: Ronald Testroet, Paul Testroet, Lawrence Testroet and Kenneth Testroet; and sons-in-law: Earl Huegerich and Richard Klocke. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Visitation will begin at 2:30 and a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Thursday at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Born Aug. 5, 1907, at Roselle, she was a daughter of Frederich and Margaret (Steffes) Meier and attended Holy Angels School in Roselle. She and Joseph B. Testroet were married Sept. 5, 1932, at Holy Angels Church in Roselle. Mrs. Testroet was a housewife and babysitter. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and the Ladies Guild. Survivors include six children: Alvina Huegerich and her husband, Earl, of Rockwell City, Ronald Testroet of Phoenix, Ariz., Paul Testroet and his wife, Judy, of Carroll, Lawrence Testroet and his wife, Barbara, of Phoenix, Kenneth Testroet and his wife, Lois, of Carroll and Elizabeth Klocke and her husband, Richard, of Marshalltown; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Testroet, of Carroll; three sisters-in-law: Rita Meier of Owatonna, Minn., Anna Meier of Manning and Bertha Buelt of Carroll; a brother-in-law, Frank Testroet, of Carroll; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Testroet, of Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Testroet, in 1972; a son, Joseph Testroet, in infancy; three brothers: Louis, Edward and Joe Meier a sister, Mary Bluml; a great-grandson, Mike Huegerich; two stepbrothers, John and Henry Engelen; and a stepsister, Anna Engelen.
