Squire Brown was born April 16, 1850, in Greencastle, Ind. He came to Kansas with his parents in 1860. They drove from Indiana in a covered wagon, and settled on a farm near Neosho Rapids. Mr. Brown moved to Emporia in 1917. He is survived by his wife and two sons, O.E. Brown, 1324 Neosho Street, Emporia; and A.M. Brown, Wichita. He is survived also by one sister and three brothers. Squire Brown was a member of the Knights and Ladies of Security. Funeral services will be held at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home, 701 Sylvan Street. Rev. W. P. Wharton, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, and Rev. H.P. Morgan, pastor of the Frist Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery.
