In the 1900 Census, for Ottumwa, Iowa, John and Susan Potter are shown with her two children, Rachel Good and Andy Good, and eight Potter children, Jennie, Henry, Edith, Roy, Gabe, Isaac, Freddie, and Goldie. Susan A. Potter was remarried to John M. Deitch on March 3, 1907, in Ottumwa. On August 16, 1920, Susie Deitch was married to Malon Snook, in Ottumwa. Malon Snook died in 1932, and it does not appear that Susie was still married to him at the time of her death. Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Saturday, August 3, 1929: Mrs. Susie A. Snook, 70 years old, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday at the home of her son, Roy Potter, 317 South Benton street. She is survived by the following children: Fred, Isaac, Gabriel, Roy and Henry Potter, all of Ottumwa; Andy H. Goode, of Independence, Mo.; Mrs Edith Murphy, of Ottumwa, Mrs. Jennie Gillispie of Alpine, Texas; Mrs. Rachael Harvey, of Mound Valley, Kan.; twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock from the Pentecostal church on Church street, in charge of the Rev. A.D. McClure. Interment will be made in Shaul cemetery.
