SUSAN FRANCES SEARS Mrs. Susan Frances Sears, daughter of Margaret and Stephen Van Benthusen, was born November 24, 1854, in Wayne county, Iowa, and departed from this life on July 27, 1945, at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 3 days. Her girlhood was spent in Wayne county. She was united in marriage on November 5, 1882, to George W. Sears, who preceded her in death by six months and one day. To this union was born one son, Albert Van Sears. She leaves to mourn her passing her son and wife and three grandchildren, Evelyn and Charles, of Melrose, and Walter, of Russell; also two great grandsons, Ivan and Harold, of Russell; and other relatives and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. A. E. Beals, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Confidence Christian church and burial was in the Confidence cemetery.
