Milo Lee officiating. Burial was in the Hingham Union Cemetery. The pallbearers selected from pioneer friends and neighbors of the deceased were Ole A. Jelmo, John Rathbun, Alfred Een, Steve Welsh, Paul Surovi, and Chris Hogenson. Joe Simon sang a solo, "God Understands" and with Mrs. Ed Stelter sang a duet, "Near to the Heart of God." Jelmo, John Rathbun, Alfred Een, Steve Welsh, Paul Surovi, and Chris Hogenson. Joe Simon sang a solo, "God Understands" and with Mrs. Ed Stelter sang a duet, "Near to the Heart of God." Mrs. Stelter sang a solo, "No Night There." Miss Ruth Kindschy was the accompanist. The large display of floral tributes denoted the high esteem in which the deceased was held by a wide circle of friends who share in the deep sorrow suffered by her loving sons. Mrs. Connolly suffered a severe stroke on September 25, 1943, and since that time had been a patient in the Sacred Heart Hospital at Havre, with her brother Oscar of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, at her bedside. She passed away at 5:23 o'clock last Saturday night with her two sons Arthur and George and brother at her bedside. Mrs. Connolly was born May 18, 1877, at LaCrosse, Wisconsin. At the age of 10, she moved with her parents to Sisseton, S.D. and at the age of 17 moved to Mayville, ND, where she was employed. She was married at Mayville March 17, 1899. Mr. and Mrs. Connolly moved to Estevan, Sask., Canada, then to a homestead nine miles southwest of Hingham where they made their home until their deaths. Mr. Connolly passed away August 8, 1939. Survivors are two sons, Arthur of Hingham and George of Rudyard; two brothers, Oscar and Henry Olson of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, and three sisters, Mrs. Caroline Washburn of Detroit Lakes, Mrs. Amos Adams of Trenton, ND, and Mrs. Ella Lee of Fargo, ND.
