Her residence in this county had been continuous for a period of 65 years. As a child and young woman she is contemporary with the pioneers of the county and the Methodist church, Henry Hardman, Daniel Hare, Solomon Aldrich and H.D. Brown. When Rev. Her residence in this county had been continuous for a period of 65 years. As a child and young woman she is contemporary with the pioneers of the county and the Methodist church, Henry Hardman, Daniel Hare, Solomon Aldrich and H.D. Brown. When Rev. Bartholomew Weed was Presiding Elder, and Uriah Ferree pastor, of a large part of the state. In 1865 she came with her mother to Tipton, and has since continued her residence among us. She was a faithful, useful member of the church for a half century. She was never married. Of late she has been subject to long periods of sickness. Her last sickness began in the winter. The radiant month of June past has found her in extreme weakness, slowly nearing her end, which came July 3, 1904. She died in the Christian's fullness of peace. After brief funeral services at her late residence, she was taken to Rochester cemetery, the oldest probably in the county, and there on a hill overlooking the valley of the Cedar, laid to rest beside her kindred.
