Grandma Susie was many things to many people. To me she was my shelter.... she loved me unconditionally and was always there for me. I never had to worry about her door being closed to me. She may have been feisty and hard to know, but I understood her. I think maybe part of why we were as close as we were, was because she knew I was a lot like her. Good or bad. I loved her. Still do.
