Description	:	Sylvia Lynch, 88, of Vermillion, South Dakota passed away peacefully early on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Prairie Estates & Rehab. Center in Elk Point. Sylvia was born to the late Henry O. and Suphranna (Trudeau) Millette in Jefferson, South Dakota on January 13, 1931. She was one of nine children. Read More	Sylvia Lynch, 88, of Vermillion, South Dakota passed away peacefully early on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Prairie Estates & Rehab. Center in Elk Point. Sylvia was born to the late Henry O. and Suphranna (Trudeau) Millette in Jefferson, South Dakota on January 13, 1931. She was one of nine children. She attended grade school at Union County Civil Bend in Jefferson, South Dakota and graduated from Mount Marty High School in Yankton, South Dakota. She married Delmar Lynch on February 4, 1950 at St. Agnes Parish in Vermillion, South Dakota. To this union brought three children; John, Michael, and Kathleen who were raised on the family farm near Burbank, South Dakota. In 1975, their two sons joined them in farming and a partnership was formed. Soon after several patents were created and because of the patents, they decided to start a manufacturing plant called Sydell Inc in 1977. They also had another business known as Sydell Farms. As of today, both businesses are still operating and run by both the sons. After the passing of her husband, Delmar, Sylvia continued to live on the farm for a couple more years and later moved to Vermillion, South Dakota on August 3, 2010. Throughout Sylvia’s life she was well known for volunteering and being a member in many organizations around Vermillion such as St. Agnes Card Club, Burbank School, Clay County Extension Card Club, Austin Whittemore House, W.H. Over Museum and St. Agnes Alter Society. Sylvia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was thankful for her family and all the wonderful holidays spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her loving children; John (Doralee) Lynch and Michael (Kathleen) Lynch both of Burbank, South Dakota and Kathleen (John) Lounsbery of Hartington, Nebraska; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delmar; parents, Henry O. and Suphranna; sisters, Cordelia, Deloris, Cecilia, Alberteen, Madonna and Iola; brothers, Kenny and Al; nine brother in-laws; four sister in-laws; seven nephews; two great nephews; and three nieces; many cousins.
