Published December 27, 1977 Huron Daily Plainsman – page 2 ****************************************** Eisenbraun Funeral Will Be Thursday Mrs. Edwin (Sylvia J.) Eisenbraun, 63, died Monday, Dec. 26 at Hand County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Eisenbraun was born born (sic) December 14, 1914 at Miller, the daughter of John and Tina Engelmann. She was a lifetime resident of Hand County, attending grade school in Ohio Township. July 15, 1944, she married Edwin Eisenbraun at Miller. They were employed at various farms and ranches around Hand County until 1951, when they started farming on their own. In 1966, they purchased the Julius Ufen place in Logan Township where they resided at the time of her death. Sylvia was active in extension work a member of the Friendly Circle Extension Club. She was recently recognized at the Christmas Fair for being a 30 year member. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Hope Circle of the Trinity Lutheran Church Women. Survivors include her husband Edwin, three brothers, John and Paul Engelmann, Miller and George Engelmann, Ree Heights, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Funeral series will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Gerhardt Landgrebe officiating. Interment will be in the GAR cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday afternoon and evening. Active pallbearers are Gary Engelmann, Todd Engelmann, Harlan Eisenbraum, Larry Haney. Honorary pallbearers are William Schnoor, Ralph Campbell, Julius Ufen, Julius Engelmann, Karl Engelmann, Robert Eschenbaum, William Menke, Duane Eschenbaum, Leonard Fawcett and Vern Collins.
