Born in Grosse Pointe on May 30, 1938, he had spent his lifetime in Gladwin County. A graduate of Beaverton- High School, he was a viscosity and infra-red analyst for Dow Corning in Midland. (Tod) Reader, 41, of 3405 Buzzell Rd., Gladwin, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Tuesday, Jan. 1. Born in Grosse Pointe on May 30, 1938, he had spent his lifetime in Gladwin County. A graduate of Beaverton- High School, he was a viscosity and infra-red analyst for Dow Corning in Midland. He also operated R e a d e r 's Photography in Gladwin for several years until closing it a few years ago. Mr. Reader was a charter member of the Gladwin Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3292 and was secretary of the organization the past nine years. He was married to the former Patricia Wright on April 14, 1956, in Coldwater. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Sgt. Talcott R. (Rob) with the Army in Tacoma, Wash, and Daniel, at home; 2 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Christina) Martin of Beaverton and Amy, at home; his mother, Mrs. Vera Reader of Beaverton; one brother, Robert of Beaverton; and one grandchild. Services were held Friday at 3 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Dana Lane officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery. An F.O.E. memorial service was held Thursday at 8 p.m. Gladwin County Record dated 1-9/1980 Column – 5 Page – 2.
