Eldon Haworth officiated at the 2:00 p.m. services. Mrs. Mabel Dunn accompanied Mrs. Carolyn Harris as she sang, “Beyond the Sunset” and “Good Night and Good Morning.” Flower bearers were Mrs. Lela Hilleary and Mrs. Lois Bryson. Casket bearers were Fredrick Bryson, Fred Bryson, Orville Marsh, Neal Gray, Russell Waage, Burl Vance, Roy Graham, and Randy Graham. Tandy Long, son of George T. and Mary Moore Long, was born May 5, 1889 in Adams County, Iowa and passed away at North Gate Manor, Corning, Iowa, on Saturday, September 26, 1970. In 1890 his parents moved to a farm in Taylor County, where he grew to manhood. He served in World War 1 in 1917 to 1919. On returning home he and his brother, Burr went into partnership in buying and selling of livestock, a business which he followed until ill heath forced him to retire. In 1937 he and his sister Jessie moved to his home in Villisca. He was a sixty year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was of the Methodist faith, have been a member of the Iveyville Methodist Church. His mother and father, four sisters and three brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by one brother, Burr Long and his wife, Bertha of Corning, a sister in law, Mrs. Harvey (Ethel) Long of Corning and nieces and nephews.
