Description	:	Last rites were held Saturday, April 4 for Teddy Hetland, 72, who died Tuesday evening at his home in Big Timber following an extended illness. Services were conducted at 2 p. m. from Lowry Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene W. Nilsen officiating. Music was provided by organist Miss Deborah Lowry and by Mrs. Margaret Busha and Mrs. A. R. McDonnell who sang, "Beautiful Isle" and "Den Stor Hevide Flok." Pallbearers were Erling Satre, Ray Elgen, Harry McComb, Carl Kjarmo, Ervin Overfelt and John Yost of Livingston. Interment was in Mountain View cemetery. Teddy Hetland was born June 24, 1897 in Egersund, Norway, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Olie Hetland. He came to the United States in 1923 and resided with his brother, Fred, in Crookston, Minn., for two years before coming to Big Timber. He worked for several ranchers in the Big Timber area and then for twelve years worked in the Butte mines. He returned to Big Timber and for many years engaged in shearing sheep. He was married to Evelyn Myers on January 11, 1945 and they have made-there home in this vicinity most of the time since. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Sandra) Todd of Reed Point, a step-daughter, Mrs. Bob (Lola) McComb, of Alberton, Mont, three step-sons, George Myers of Poison, Jack L. Myers of Sedro Woolley, Wash., James Myers of Harlowton, and twelve grandchildren. Published Big Timber Pioneer Apr 9, 1970
