Terry enjoyed family, fishing, hunting, camping and telling stories. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Bassett of Fairbury, NE, granddaughters, Shianne Stewart & husband Nicholes of Belvidere, NE; Bianca, Jessie and Rusti Bassett of Fairbury, NE; daughters Brandi McCarthy of Beatrice, NE and Sandra McAtee of Ogallala, NE; long-time friend, Phyllis Daubendiek of Lincoln, NE; brothers and sisters, Beverly McAtee of Beatrice, Robert McAtee of Fairbury, Donald Jessen and wife Marlene of David City, NE, Dallas McAtee of Kearney, Janet McAtee of Beatrice, Leon Petersen of Beatrice, Lori McAtee of Wymore, NE, Carol Morphis and husband Herb of Centerville, AR,; sister-in-law, Lorraine McAtee of Beatrice; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by mother, Reva Hutchison; father, Lester McAtee; sister and brother in law, Lorna and Vernon Thompson and niece, Sara Petersen; brother, Jerry McAtee; grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice with Ernie Waltke, P.M.A. officiating. Casual dress is requested. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the mortuary in charge. Graveside military honors will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice conducted by the Bitting Norman Post #27 of the American Legion and the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard. The body will lie in state at Harman-Wright Mortuary of Beatrice Thursday from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M., with the family greeting friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., then at Mortuary one hour preceding services on Friday.
