Elsasser, long time resident of the vicinity who died at 3:20 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at her home. Interment was in Calvery [sic] cemetery here. The Rev. G. F. Wessling, pastor, officiated. Pallbearers were A. J. Drobney, Dan O'Brien, Richard Bollard, F. O. Schroeder, James Donahue and W. B. Linnan. Mrs. Elsasser's death followed a stroke suffered that morning. She had prepared breakfast for Mr. Elsasser and at about 9:30 o'clock was found in an unconscious condition by her granddaughter, Jeanette Ann Lilly, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Lilly of Sioux City, who had come to spend the summer with her grandparents. Those surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. E. M. Lilly of Sioux City, Mrs. William Schall of Rolfe and Mrs. Robert Beavers of Jefferson, S.D., ten grand children and a half sister, Miss Eleanor Gehrig of Fort Dodge. Delia Gehrig, daughter of Edmund and Thecla Gehrig, was born Nov. 6, 1881 at Stuckstadt, Bavaria. Two years later she came to America and located on a farm north of Varina. On Sept. 3, 1900 she was married here to H. M. Elsasser. The couple established their home on a farm near Varina. On Jan. 21, 1919, the fmaily purchased a home in Pocahontas and moved into town. Mrs. Elsasser was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart parish and was a member of the Christian Mothers society of the church. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and many will miss her. Those attending the funeral from a distance were Antone and Edmund Gehrig of Barnesville, Minn.; Miss Eleanor Gehrig of Ft. Dodge; Mr. and Mrs. John Boes and son, Mrs. Eleanor Steincamp, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ellerbrock, Joe and Anna Elsasser, Mr. and Mrs. John Reising, Mr. and Mrs. Max Resing, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Reising, all of Breda; Mr. and Mrs. John Elsasser, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Elsasser, Mr.e and Mrs. Frank Lampman, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Lampman, Mr. and Mrs. Con Schnetter, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Schnetter, Mrs. Mary Gehrig and family, Mrs. Mary Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Fitzgerald, Misses Ida and Alvina Thoma, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Farrell, Mrs. Wm.
