Read More	Highland Recorder July 8, 1932 MISS THELMA ALICE BIRD On July 2nd, the message came calling Thelma Alice Bird, from her earthly home to the one beyond the sky. Her unexpected passing, just in the bloom of attractive young womanhood, is an illustration of the truism that "in the midst of life we are in death.'' The family, aided by the faithful physician and nurses, did all possible to alleviate her suffering and render her last hours comfortable. Thelma will be sadly missed in her home, her church and in the community. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South and a faithful attendant o n all its services. She was a teacher in the Sunday School, and Secretary of the Young Peoples Society. Thelma was the eldest daughter of the late Clarence and Mrs. Wilda Bird. She is survived by her mother, three brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were conducted at Rehoboth Church, Sunday afternoon, by her pastor, Rev. F. L. Morrison, assisted by Rev. G. Houck. Interment was in the cemetery near her home.
