Born March 30, 1933, in Accident, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Owen and Leota Edna (Shatzer) Humberson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nile Glenn “Nick” Lechliter, February 19, 1993, and two sisters, Leah DeWitt and Carolyn Griffin. Born March 30, 1933, in Accident, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Owen and Leota Edna (Shatzer) Humberson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nile Glenn “Nick” Lechliter, February 19, 1993, and two sisters, Leah DeWitt and Carolyn Griffin. Mrs. Lechliter was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and had been employed as a cook at the University of Maryland 4-H Center, Bittinger. She is survived by her son Delbert (Tammy) Lechliter, Rockwood, PA; her daughter, Diana (Billy) Joy, Flintstone; two grandsons, Chad McClellan and Dane McClellan; one great-granddaughter, Emma Messick; five step-grandchildren, Taylor, Paige and Courtney Smith, Ryan Joy and Randy Bivens and 11 step-great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, from 12-2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Denton Lester and the Rev. Ryan Heycock officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Accident, MD.
