Ida Doris Morarend Jan 21, 1879, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg. Ida b. March 18, 1860, one of twelve children to Johann Dietrich and Dorothea Schroeder Morarend. Man ran a flour mill in Guttenberg and worked the lead mines in Miner's Creek besides farming. They are the parents of five children: Realto E. (Bob), Wm. A., John D., Laura b. May 3, 1894, d March 21, 1895. And Roma Ida m. Louis Heins. In 1910 they purchased the farm where the house is in Jefferson Twp., Sec. 33, and the barn in Millville Twp., Sec. 4, from Louise Nieland Dechow. They farmed and Man and son John ran threshing rings, using steam engines and Advance Rumley oil pulls. Ida d. Nov. 14, 1911 and Emanuel d. Aug. 13, 1936, are buried in city cemetery, Guttenberg. Note: The name Buttner had the German umlaut over the u, two small dots, and the spelling was changed to Bittner.
