Description	:	Theodore J. Brown was born in Vivian, SD on April 28, 1922 to Charles and Ellen Stark Brown. He grew up and attended school near Vivian, graduating from Vivian High School in 1941. He entered the US Navy soon after graduation. He was involved in many famous battles of the Pacific during work War II. On March 13, 1946, he married Arlyne Roberts in Pierre, SD. Brown was born in Vivian, SD on April 28, 1922 to Charles and Ellen Stark Brown. He grew up and attended school near Vivian, graduating from Vivian High School in 1941. He entered the US Navy soon after graduation. He was involved in many famous battles of the Pacific during work War II. On March 13, 1946, he married Arlyne Roberts in Pierre, SD. They made Presho their home that same year. Ted began working at the Presho Grain Elevator and was quickly promoted to Manager. Soon after that, he became a partner and the Manger of the Draper Elevator. He retired in 1987. Ted had loved to play the game of golf and proved it this year, making December 4th the last time he played. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion, VFW, and Lions. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ted is survived by his wife Arlyne, two daughters Lynda Jensen and husband Gary and Nancy Authier and husband Herb, one son Terry Brown, three sisters Edith Gannon, Lillian Severyn and husband Burke, and Evelyn Halgrimson, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Larry, one sister and three brothers.
