Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Anthon with Pastor Robert Bayer officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery, Midway, under direction of Walter Funeral Service. Theodore, the son of Edward and Marie (Haushildt) Fundermann was born November 14, 1904, at Schleswig, Iowa. As a boy he moved with his parents to a farm in the Midway area. He married Emma Benker February 3, 1927, at Anthon. The couple farmed south of Anthon all their married life. Ted also worked at the Woodbury Co. ASCS office for fifteen years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as elder and was a member of the Lutheran Laymens League. He was a past school director of rural Miller Township and a past trustee for Miller Township. Survivors include his wife, Emma, six sons, John of Battle Creek, Ted. P. "TP" and Paul of Anthon, Edward "Jake" of Battle Creek, Frank of Red Oak, Wayne of Anthon; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Osborne of Buffalo, Missouri, Mrs. Duane (Judy) Thompson of Williams, Minnesota, and Mrs. Gary (Eileen) Bumsted of Anthon, 37 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, two great-great granddaughters, one brother, Edward of Port Orchard, Washington, three sister, Mrs. Leona Henry and Mrs. Edna Forney both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Ella Ganoe of Sanborn. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one grandson, three great granddaughters, three sisters and one son-in-law.
