Read More	Theodore (Ted) William Titgemeyer died at the Napoleon Lutheran Home on Saturday, September 19, 2015. He had been a resident there for six years. Ted was born May 5, 1922, in Pemberville, OH, to the late Charles H. and Clara (Kuhlman) Titgemeyer. He was a graduate of Pemberville High School. He attended Bowling Green State University where his studies were interrupted for three years while he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. About half that time was spent in North Africa in the Air Transport Command. He was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant and returned to BGSU where he received a BS degree in Education and an MA in math and school administration. He taught school for a few years at BGSU, Swanton High School and Napoleon Junior High. He and his wife, the former Dora Eggers, then moved to rural Napoleon where he farmed for many years. Ted and Dora were married on August 8, 1948, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Ted was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon, and served in many of the church council offices and also as Sunday School superintendent. He also served his church on various committees of the former Michigan District of the American Lutheran Church and then of the Northwestern Ohio Synod of the ELCA. He was a longtime member of the Henry Soil and Water Conservation Board. Ted was a member and chairman of the Henry County and State Extension Advisory Committees, a longtime member of the Napoleon Rotary Club and a twenty-year member of the Henry County CIC. Ted enjoyed photography and playing bridge. He is survived by his wife Dora, his children, Sylvia Titgemeyer (Michael Allison), St. Louis, MO, and Evan (Lori) Titgemeyer, Manhattan, KS, and grandchildren, Austin and Flannery Allison, and Taylor and Jack Titgemeyer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to The Lutheran Home at Napoleon, Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon, or Arthritis Foundation.
