Description	:	The Late Mrs. Jacob Weiss. Theresa Henrietta Wilhelmine Kummer was born April 26, 1861 in Erfurt, Gemany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Frederick Kummer. She was baptised and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church in Erfurt. She was one of five children with which God and blessed the parent's home. Theresa Henrietta Wilhelmine Kummer was born April 26, 1861 in Erfurt, Gemany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Frederick Kummer. She was baptised and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church in Erfurt. She was one of five children with which God and blessed the parent's home. When she was 10 years old she lost her father and later her mother died in Wisconsin, U.S. A. In 1884 she was married to Emil Imhof of Erfurt, German. She was then twenty-four years old. Her husband died in 1887 after a lingering illness. In 1888 she was marrred to John Herman Blinkmann. This union was blessed with one son, Carl. Mr. Brinkmann died in the spring of 1892. In September, 1892, the widow and the three-year-old son Carl came to the United States. They at first made their home at Sheboygan and Mondovi, Wis., for a year. In 1894 they moved to Arlington, Neb. After some time they moved to the farm. On May 26, 1895, she was united to Jacob Weiss in holy matrimony. This union was blessed with two sons, Henry William and Frederick Louie. Mr. and Mrs. Weiss made their home on a farm near Fontanelle, Neb., for twenty-two years. In 1914 their son Carl became cashier and manager of the Nebraska state bank at this place. March 2, 1916, the family moved here. The deceased had been troubled for years with dropsy of the heart. Saturday, February 17, at 7:30 p.m. without any warning, death claimed her, the cause of death being heart failure. Her age was 61 years 9 months and 2l days. She will be sorely missed by those she loved and cared for. She leaves her husband, Jacob Weiss, her three sons Carl, William and Frederick one grandson, Manley William, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Weiss, two brothers and two sisters, Fred of Sheboygan, Adele and Ernest of Mondovi, and Dora of Milwaukee, Wis., besides a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home and at the Lutheran Church Wednesday February 21, conducted by Rev. I. A. Bahnsen. The text of the German sermon was, "Love never faileth," and for the English sermon, "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me, neverless not my will, but thine be done." The choir sang two selections, Come Home, Come Home and Jesus Savior Pilot Me. The funeral was largely attended. Madams, I. C. Steele, C. Rakestraw, Elyse Timbers and Miss Marguerite Gundermann had charge of the flowers, which were very abundant. The body was laid to rest in the Ohiowa cemetery. Henry and Louie Langhorst of Fortanelle, Neb., old neighbors and friends of the Weiss family were present at funeral. Mrs Weiss' sisters and brothers were unable to attend because of illness and snow blockades.
