The rest of the family departed Bremen, Germany and arrived in New York aboard the Caroline on October 16, 1856. They settled around Mormon Coulee area just south of St. Joseph Ridge, WI for a time. Maria Kneifel Mehren Josefa Kneifl - born February 10, 1848 in Chroboly, Bohemia. Died at a young age and is buried in Bohemia.
