Description	:	Funeral services for Thomas C. Gourley, 53, practically a lifelong resident of Villisca, Were held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday at the Wolfe Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Mortensen, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in charge. Interment was made in the Villisca Cemetery. The deceased died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at the Center Gourley home on South Third Avenue where he had been seriously ill for several months. Cancer of the throat resulted in his death. Albert F. W. and Hester Gourley. He was one of a family of nine of whom only two sisters, Mrs. Kate Hall of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Stella Hanson of Corning are living. In early life Mr. Gourley was a jockey and took a great interest in horses and racing. Except for three years in Oakley, Kansas, he was a lifetime resident of Villisca. He never married. Relatives from out of town who were here Sunday to attend the funeral services were Mrs. Ethel Hall, Red Oak, Mr. and Mrs. George Preston and Robert Hay, Creston, Mrs. Stella Hanson, Corning.
