She had been an invalid for two years, long confinement, following a stroke of paralysis she suffered more than two years ago. Mary M. Gourley was born at Warren County, Pennsylvania and died May 2, 1916, at her home near this city. In 1850, when only a year of age, she moved from Pennsylvania to Illinois. Gourley was born at Warren County, Pennsylvania and died May 2, 1916, at her home near this city. In 1850, when only a year of age, she moved from Pennsylvania to Illinois. March 3, 1870, she came to Villisca with her parents. On September 16, 1885, she was married to Benjamin Moore in this city. Only one child, Roland Moore was born to this union. The son has made his home with his parents for some time. The husband also survives to mourn the loss. Two sisters, and two brothers also survive. Mrs. G. A. Hanson of Corning and Mrs. Kate Hall of Ft. Worth, Texas, are sisters. The latter did not attend the funeral. Thomas Gourley and Robert Gourley of this city are brothers. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Presbyterian Church. Rev. Ewing conducted the services. The boy was interred in the Villisca Cemetery.
