He attended Doane College in Crete; served in the Army; then graduated from UNL with a degree in Journalism in 1952. Tom held positions at radio stations KWBE (Beatrice) and KRVN (Lexington); also at Nebraska Television Network; KHOL in Holdrege, where he hosted the Jungle Tom Puppet Show; followed by 15 years as manager/salesman at the Superior station. He was a member of First United Methodist, Lincoln. Tom is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers: Wilbert, Lawrence, Victor and Oscar; sisters: Alice Nuss, Adeline Jones and Minetta Nuss. Graveside services will be held at the Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, NE on Oct. 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. Memorials are suggested for Sutton Community Scholarship Fund or to the family.
