Description	:	SUTTON - Victor Harold Nuss, 92, a former resident of Sutton died in Sun Valley, CA. on March 7, 2009. He was the second of five sons born to Mr and Mrs Herbert Nuss of Sutton on October 25, 1916. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Sutton where he was baptized January 14, 1917 and confirmed in 1931 by Pastor Rev Reinhold Birk. Read More	SUTTON - Victor Harold Nuss, 92, a former resident of Sutton died in Sun Valley, CA. on March 7, 2009. He was the second of five sons born to Mr and Mrs Herbert Nuss of Sutton on October 25, 1916. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Sutton where he was baptized January 14, 1917 and confirmed in 1931 by Pastor Rev Reinhold Birk. He graduated from Clay County Public School #16 northwest of Sutton in 1930. He worked as a farmhand at Ogallala in 1934. After working on his father's farm until 1941, he studied auto mechanics, welding and machine shop work in a four month course at the Normal Industrial College at Ellendale, ND in the winter of 1940-41. He worked 40 years at the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in Burbank, CA. He began employment there as a sheet metal assembler and riveter and later as a sheet metal mechanic. In 1944, he progressed to "experimental mechanic" in aircraft development. He served as supervisor twice and retired February 28, 1981. While at Lockheed, he met and later married Polly David formerly of Imperial. They were married March 5, 1949. To this union was born a daughter, Vickie Illene, born April 29, 1955. The Nuss's build their home at Sun Valley in 1948. His wife Polly died June 1, 2009 at the age of 82. He is survived by his daughter Vickie, son-in-law Mike Eadler and two grandchildren Keith and David and a brother, Tom Nuss of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbert, Lawrence and Oscar and three sisters: Alice Nuss, Adeline Jones and Minneta Nuss. His body is to be cremated, Graveside services are pending at the Sutton Cemetery in Sutton. Clay County News (Sutton, NE) March 12, 2009
