Is Brought Here for Burial Tuesday. Thomas H. Casey was found dead in his room in the Hotel Brevoort in Chicago, Illinois, on Sunday, August 19, 1934. He had suffered a heart attack. Thomas, son of the late James and Anna Casey was born sixty-six years ago in Chickasaw County, Iowa. He grew to manhood here and was employed as a printer for Editors Hazlet and Bishop of the New Hampton Tribune. About thirty years ago he moved to Minneapolis where he was employed with the Daily News, later going to Chicago where he has since been with the Chicago Tribune. He was unmarried. Surviving are four brothers and four sisters as follows: John Casey of St Paul, Charles and Louis Casey of Minneapolis, Arthur Casey of South Bend, Indiana, Mrs D.L. Noonan of Elma, Misses Josephine and Mary Casey and Mrs Thomas Crayon [sic–Crahan] of Minneapolis. Mr Casey’s death not only brought sadness to his brothers and sisters, but his numerous friends residing in the communities in which he lived. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 10 o’clock in St Mary’s Church in New Hampton. Reverend B.H. Forkenbrock, pastor read the prayers. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dan Donovan, P.J. McGrane, John Tiernan, J.W. McIntee, M.H. O’Neill and A.A. Hughes. Relatives here from a distance to attend the funeral were Charles Casey, Louis Casey, Miss Josephine Casey, Miss Mary Casey, Mr and Mrs Thomas Crayon [sic – Crahan] all of Minneapolis, Mr and Mrs Arthur Casey of South Bend, Indiana, Mr and Mrs D. L. Noonan and Mrs Stute, all of Elma, Mrs Will Casey and son Justin, of Janesville, Wisconsin. We join the friends of the deceased in extending heartfelt sympathy to the sadly bereaved brothers, sisters and other relatives.
