He taught me everything that a cowboy should know including how to treat a good horse, and love for God and country. He was quite a philosopher. He also loved cowboy poetry, before it got to be so popular as it is today. His favorite song was "Strawberry Roan", an old tune about a hapless cowboy trying to ride an unbreakable horse.
