Tom was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 6, 1944 to John and June Cavalieri. Read More	Thomas J. Cavalieri August 6th, 1944 - March 21st, 2020 Thomas John Cavalieri, age 75 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Tom was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 6, 1944 to John and June Cavalieri. He graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School in 1962 and went on to study Pharmacology at the University of Cincinnati where he graduated in 1967. Tom completed his Pharmaceutical Internship at the VA Hospital at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor during which time he also served on the U.S. Ski Patrol. After that, he moved on to work at the Cleveland VA Medical Center before returning to his hometown roots to take the job as the first Director of Pharmacology at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton. Shortly thereafter, he met and fell in love with Jean Buschur whom he married in 1976. After many years working in the hospital setting, Tom developed a great interest in the local independent pharmacies and desired to see them thrive and be successful. He transitioned away from Mercy Hamilton and continued practicing pharmacy at various locations throughout the tri-state area some of which were: Tony’s Pharmacy, College Corner Pharmacy, John Minnis Drugstore, The Medicine Shoppe, The Village Pharmacy of Harrison, and Camden Village Pharmacy. Tom served a total of 52 years as a Pharmacist and retired in 2019. Tom believed in giving back to his community and was an active supporter of various Catholic and Native American Indian charities, as well as wildlife and environmental preservation organizations. Tom is survived by his children, Anne (Darryl) Handy and Chris Cavalieri; his grandsons, Caleb and Joshua Handy; his brothers, Mike Cavalieri and Steve Cavalieri; his sister, Janet Bachmann; and his companion Helen McGuire and their furbabies Little One and Sandy. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jean Frances Cavalieri (2011).
