Description	:	Thomas Orr was the son of Samuel Orr and Agnes Littlewood. Agnes Littlewood's parents were Samuel Littlewood and Mary Ann Hadden of Lower Fews, County Armagh, Ireland. Samuel Orr's father was John Orr (no other information) and his mother is unknown at this time. John Orr and his wife had at least three children: David Orr (born about 1811 in Ireland), Samuel Orr (born about 1816 in Ireland) and Sarah Orr (?) (born about 1816 in Ireland). Samuel Orr and Agnes Littlewood were probably married in Ireland sometime before 1840. Their son Thomas was born Nov 8, 1837, in Clarkesbridge (Newtownhamilton) in the Barony of Upper Fews, Armagh, Ireland. Clarkesbridge is set in rural South Armagh on the border with Co. Monaghan. First Newtownhamilton was founded in 1781. Clarkesbridge was established as a Secession congregation in 1791. The union of the congregations took place in 1888 - from MyLocalTown.info. Samuel Orr and Agnes Littlewood had seven children: Thomas Orr (born Nov 8, 1837), Samuel Orr (born February 15, 1842), Margaret Orr (born May 2, 1846), Mary Jane (born 1849), Agnes (born June 24, 1853), Elizabeth (born April 8, 1856), and David (born June 24, 1860). Thomas Orr (son of Samuel Orr and Agnes Littlewood) married Isabella Adams (daughter of Robert Adams and Ann Bell, b. 1841, in Ireland, d. May 31, 1904, in Belt, Montana) February 3, 1860, in the West Manse Airdrie Free Church. They had at least nine children: Ann (1861-1863); Samuel (born March 4, 1863, in Airdrie); Robert (1866-1867); Thomas (born Feb 4, 1870, in Airdrie); William Adams (born Feb 2, 1872, in Airdrie); Margaret (born April 28, 1874, in Whiterigg, New Monkland and died on Nov 27, 1948); Elizabeth "Lizzie" (born 1877); Jane Adams (born 1879 in Airdrie); and another Samuel (1881-1952). - 1881 & 1891 Scotland Census and Scotland's People We have not been able to find any record of the born in 1863 Samuel's death nor a birth record for Elizabeth born in 1877. "Thomas married Bessie Burke from Jardine. They had five children. William married Ida Johnson from Tiger Butte. They had six children. Samuel married Bertha Kernaghan. They had one son. Jeanne married Casper Gonser. They had five children. Elizabeth married John Ray. They had five children. Both of the men the girls married were from the Belt area. After they were settled, the three brothers started a coal mine northeast of Belt in a place now called Orr Coulee.
