Read More	From an anonymous source: Thomas Sanford Clyma was born in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, the son of Francis Clyma and Frances Trudgeon (Maynard) Clyma. He married Annie O'Brien. Additional Information: The Gridley Twice-A-Week Herald, Wednesday, March 15, 1916, pg 3 col 4: Death of Aged Pioneer Resident Sunday Morning. Sunday morning occurred the death of Thomas S. Clyma at his home in Gridley. Mr. Clyma arose at his usual hour and went out doors a short time. He came into the house, sat down and it appeared at once to his wife that he was sick. His head drooped forward, and before any assistance could be given he died evidently from an affection of the heart, as he had been suffering from a form of dropsy and had been taking medical treatment for the malady. Thomas Sanford Clyma was born July 1834 in Wisconsin, and was nearly 82 at the time of his death. He came to California many years ago and settled on a farm near Pennington, where he resided until about 3 years ago, when he sold the ranch and removed to Gridley. Deceased was a member of the Masonic fraternity and the funeral was held yesterday at 11 o’clock from the Masonic hall, Gridley, under the auspices of Enterprise Lodge F. & A.M. of Yuba City and the burial took place in the Pennington cemetery. Mr. Clyma is survived by his wife, one son, David Clyma, two daughters, Mrs. E. Hubbs and Mrs. Alison Manaugh, and a number of grandchildren some being the children of a deceased son. Many of the old neighbors and friends of the deceased from the Pennington neighborhood were present at the funeral.
