Tom was born February 9, 1927 in rural Nance County, Nebraska to John William, Sr. and Inez Margaret (McKelvey) McIntyre. Tom graduated from Wolbach (NE.) High School in 1944. He served in the United States Air Force from 1946-1947. Tom was united in marriage to Jane Cooley on December 24, 1947 at the Methodist Church, Fullerton, Nebraska. They farmed in Greeley and Nance Counties, Nebraska. Tom was a leader in the United Methodist Church and a 4-H Leader. He served as a director on the Mid America Dairy Board and served on the Olive School Board. He also was a member of Masons and Ray Mapes American Legion Post #236, Wolbach, Nebraska. Tom enjoyed woodworking, visiting with people and loved his grandchildren. Tom is survived by: wife, Jane McIntyre of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine & Chuck Paprocki of Columbus, Nebraska, Bonnie & Larry Zoucha of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, Margaret & Tony Koziol of Grand Island, Nebraska, Alice & Dar Barnes of Grand Island, Nebraska, Jean & Shannon Dorcey of Wakefield, Nebraska and Carrie & Jim Kolar of Grand Island, Nebraska; eighteen grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one great grandchild; three step great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret McVey of Raymond, Washington and Jennie & husband Leonard Dooley of Lamar, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Hecox of Omaha, Nebraska, Elsie Rittscher of Kismet, Kansas and Mary Jane & husband Sid Magdanz of Omaha, Nebraska and brother-in-law, Robert & wife Thelma Cooley of Norfolk, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Tom was preceded in death by: parents; grandson, Steve Zoucha; brother John McIntyre, Jr.; sister-in-law, Lois and brother-in-laws, Everett McVey, Howard Hecox and Martin Rittscher. Inurnment was in Hillside Cemetery, Wolbach, Nebraska. Military honors at graveside by Ray Mapes American Legion Post #236, Wolbach, Nebraska.
