The funeral was in Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, Saturday, December 5, Rev. Harold Ovre officiating. Mr. Larson was born on a small farm in Nodlund, Egersund, Norway, June 27, 1886 to Tonnes and Johanna Larson. He left Norway in 1907 and came to America. The funeral was in Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, Saturday, December 5, Rev. Harold Ovre officiating. Mr. Larson was born on a small farm in Nodlund, Egersund, Norway, June 27, 1886 to Tonnes and Johanna Larson. He left Norway in 1907 and came to America. He was employed first as a farm laborer near Jessie. In 1910 he returned to Norway, and was married to Guri Carlson January 11, 1911 in the church where both had been baptized and confirmed. They left Norway March 1, 1911 and came to a farm near Binford, where they farmed until they retired in 1946 and moved into Binford. Mrs. Larson died September 4, 1974. In the fall of 1979 Mr. Larson moved to the Griggs County Nursing Home, where he had resided since. Last summer members of his family honored him with a birthday party open house in the Binford fire hall, attended by a large number of people. He is survived by six sons, Thelford, Foreston, Minnesota; Trygve, Orange California; Melvin of Fargo; Carl, Halvor and Sivert, all of Binford; four daughters, Mrs. Johanna Kurtti Cooperstown; Mrs. Harold (Ann) Storkson, Everett, Washington; Mrs. Telford (Vivian) Avdem, Pekin and Mrs. Irving (Gladys) Marquart, Lakota; a brother, Arne, of Nodlund, Norway, 53 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
