Berkey, pastor, in charge. The prelude and postlude were played by Mrs. H.L. Voigt. The colors were advanced and retired by members of the American Legion. Two solos, Be Still My Soul and Abide With Me, were sung by Mrs. Wilma Good accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Norma Duell. Out of town relatives and friends present for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Hall Marshall, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harpster, Mrs. Ella Moore and Mrs. Lily Marshall all of Edgar; and Mr. J.E. and Mr. W.L. Portwood of Nelson; and Boden Portwood of Lincoln. T-Sgt. Robert Tyndal Marshall, son of Clarence and Florence Marshall was born January 6th, 1917, at Nelson, Nebraska. He graduated from the Davenport High School in 1934, and enlisted in the Coast Artillery September 9, 1937. He re-enlisted at Denver, Colorado, and entered the Air Corps Technical School in October, 1940. Tyndal graduated as an air craft armorer February 28, 1941, and was sent to March Field, California in June, 1941, where he was stationed until he left for overseas duty on January 11, 1942. He was reported Missing in Action at Sea May 23rd, 1942, but was not officially declared dead until December 18th, 1945. His parents and a brother, Lowell (sic), preceded him in death. He is survived by one brother, Hal B. Marshall of Omaha, Nebraska, and two sisters, Mrs. John Keim and Mrs. James Row both of Davenport, and other near relatives many of whom were present for the Memorial Service.
