Description	:	Tyson J. May, age 42, entered the gates of Heaven on January 12, 2021 at 7:35 pm, at his residence. Tyson was born July 21, 1978, in Lima, Ohio, to David L. and Kathy A (Hostetler) May. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Elida. Tyson was a 1997 graduate of Elida High School. He attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN and the University of Findlay where he played tennis at both colleges. May, age 42, entered the gates of Heaven on January 12, 2021 at 7:35 pm, at his residence. Tyson was born July 21, 1978, in Lima, Ohio, to David L. and Kathy A (Hostetler) May. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Elida. Tyson was a 1997 graduate of Elida High School. He attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN and the University of Findlay where he played tennis at both colleges. He had a tennis racket in his hand from a young age through high school and college. This love of tennis continued as he coached at Elida and managed tennis tournaments in the Lima area. Tyson was very involved in Elida Athletics. He was an avid fan of the Washington Football Team, enjoyed all sports, trivia, and music. Most of all, he loved following his brother coaching the Albion College Basketball Team and being entertained by his nephew, Jackson. In addition to his mother, Tyson is survived by his brother, Jody (Julie) May of Albion, MI and their son, Jackson, his maternal grandfather, Donald Hostetler of West Liberty, OH, a great uncle, great aunts and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Annabelle Hostetler and his paternal grandparents, Ora James and Lila May. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will be having private services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Elida Tennis c/o Elida Athletic Department. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
