Bedsworth, well-known resident of the Mariners section and principal o Mariners school, which occurred at his home in that neighborhood on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. A complication of troubles from which he had been suffering for some time past, were the cause of his death. Ulmont Fitzgerald Bedsworth was the son of the late Charles H. and Mrs. Cornelia Bedsworth, and was born at the old Bedsworth homestead in the Mariners section where he resided until his death. He had been a member of Mariners church since he was 13 years of age, and was a man of high character and influential in his community. He had taught in Bedsworth public school for the past 10 years, being its principal for several years past. Mr. Bedsworth was 35 years of age and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Cornelia Bedsworth; one married sister, Mrs. W. R. Nelson, and a brother, Mr. Henry Bedsworth, both of Crisfield, as well as numerous other relatives. Funeral services were held from Mariners church at 2:30 o'clock yesterday (Friday) afternoon, in charge of the Masonic order, of which he was a member. Rev. F. K. McCorkle officiated. Interment was in the Bedsworth cemetery. Mr. Bedsworth was very popular and held in high esteem throughout Crisfield and vicinity, and many beautiful floral tributes were presented by friends. The Crisfield Times, Crisfield, Maryland, Saturday morning, July 14, 1923, p. 4 ___________ BEDSWORTH—Our pastor assisted in one of the largest funeral services ever held at Mariners M. P. church last week—that of Prof. Ulmont Bedsworth. He was known far and wide and held in high esteem by both parent and scholar alike. there was an exceptionally large attendance by scholars.
