POLEYETTE DIED WEDNESDAY MORNING Esteemed Crisfield Matron Had Been Long Ill Final Rites To Be Conducted Today Mrs. Ursula Poleyette, one of Crisfield's best loved matrons, passed away at her home on Main street at shortly before 9:30 o'clock on Wednesday morning of this week. She lacked but a few days of reaching her seventy-second birthday. Mrs. Poleyette had been in failing health for a number of months and the seriousness of her illness became apparent some time ago and from that time on she grew steadily weaker until the end came Wednesday morning. The daughter of the late Josiah Mason and Arrah Henderson Mason, Mrs. Poleyette was born on October 1, 1867, near the Mariner's section at what is known as Mason's Corner. She was the widow of the late Joseph Poleyette, well known local business man who passed away a number of years ago. A member of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, she was a fine Christian lady and though hindered from being as active in church affairs as she desired by ill health, it was near and dear to her heart. Possessing a generous and charitable nature, she firmly believed in doing her utmost to aid those less fortunate than herself and was never known to refuse to help in every way that she could. A wonderful wife and mother, as well as a splendid neighbor and friend, Mrs. Poleyette will be sadly missed by the legion of warm friends made during her long and useful life. Funeral services over this beloved resident, are to be held this afternoon from the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. C. M. Elderdice, pastor of the church, will conduct the rites. Interment will be in the Poleyette lot in the Crisfield cemetery. Mrs. Poleyette is survived by one son, Harold L.
