Description	:	Vashtie was born July 31, 1935, daughter of the late Lock and Carrie Chavis Clark. She was the loving wife of 52 years to the late John Frank Lowery. She devoted her life to the love and care of her family. She worked in textiles retiring from Waverly Mills and then cared for the patients at the Westminster Nursing Home. She faithfully served the Lord and was a longtime member of the Good News Chapel. She loved cooking, sharing the love of Jesus with others and spending time with her family. She devoted her life to the love and care of her family. She worked in textiles retiring from Waverly Mills and then cared for the patients at the Westminster Nursing Home. She faithfully served the Lord and was a longtime member of the Good News Chapel. She loved cooking, sharing the love of Jesus with others and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Clark, her siblings, James C. Clark, Willie Clark, Lock Clark, Jr., and Mae Helen Clark. Vashtie is survived by her children, two sons, John “Charles” Lowery and wife Glenda of Laurinburg, Glenn Lowery of the home and her daughter, Nancy Lowery of the home; brothers, John W. Clark, Donald Ray Clark and J.C. Clark all of Maxton; sisters, Callie Mae Oxendine of Red Springs, Nora Neal Locklear of Laurinburg, Vera Locklear of Laurel Hill, Sadie McGirt of Laurinburg, Elouise Locklear of Laurel Hill; grandchildren, Chad Lowery, Ashley Taylor and husband Michael; great grandsons, Zachery, Landon and Austin Taylor; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
