Description	:	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 15 Oct 1969 Bertha Calkin Died Here This Morning Bertha Calkin, 84, Fort Benton resident for the past three years, and of Chouteau county for more than half a century, passed away early this morning at the St. Clare hospital, where she had been a patient since Sept. 26th. Funeral services will be held at the Benton Funeral Home Saturday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery. Funeral services will be held at the Benton Funeral Home Saturday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery. Bertha Robison was born March 21, 1885, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and married Geral M. Calkin at Sparta, Wisconsin, in 1907. She and her husband came to Loma in 1916, where Mr. Calkin was employed as a printer by the Loma Ledger. Later Mr. Calkin worked as a farmer and carpenter until his death Oct. 17, 1939. After her husband's passing, Bertha took over the Calkin Service Station at Loma, which she later built into a grocery store. She carried on this business for 37 years, retiring at the age of 81. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fort Benton. Survivors include five daughters and two sons: Clarice Reichelt, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Frances Stockton, Vancouver, Wash.; Alice Moore, Great Falls; Ruby Lundy, Fort Benton; Doris Gomoll, Loma; George Calkin, Libby, and Earl Calkin, Fort Benton; 29 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. ..........
