Read More	The Plainview News; Plainview, Nebraska; Thursday, June 24, 1920; Front Page Obituary Velma Marie Culbertson was born at Woodfield, Ohio, on the 23rd day of March in the year of our Lord 1907 and departed this life on the 21st day of June, 1920, at her home, 7 miles south and one mile east of Plainview. Marie Culbertson, as she was better known by those who knew her, was an exceptional girl. She was devoted to her parents and was very obedient. Her life was a quiet one but very useful, she delighted in making others happy. She was a little woman at thirteen. The home duties appealed to her and she was never happier than when helping to share the duties of the home with her mother. She was loved by all her companions and the people who knew her. She took her place in the church and was happy when participating in the exercises of Children's service. There is no doubt as to her relation to her Savior. She was a little witness to Him at all times and to those who know her, there is no doubt as to her destination. Marie did not enjoy good health and since the flu visited her some time ago she has grown weaker until on the date mentioned above she closed her eyes in sleep to wake up in the Eternal City, where she will behold her Savior whom she loved upon earth and to await the home coming of her loved ones. She leaves to mourn her departure, her father, mother, two brothers and a large number of relatives and numerous friends. God wanted her here where His little ones meet, Said the children up in Heaven, She shall play with us on the golden streets, She has grown too fair, she has grown too sweet, For the earth we used to live in. She needs the sunshine this dear little girl, That gilds this side of the gates of pearl, Said the children up in heaven. So the King came down from the angel's dome, Said the children up in heaven, My little darling arise and come, To the place prepared in the Father's home, To the home the children live in.
