Vera was united in marriage to Robert E. Edwards on March 2, 1940. There were four children who came to bless this home, Mary of Burlington, Sheryl of Russell, Donna of Albia and Rex of Scottsdale, Ariz. There are also nine gandchildren, Michelle Wilson, Mike Walder, Jody, Jon and Jeff Pierce, Terry Coady, Scott Ruepke, Steel and Carter John Edwards. Vera's life revolved around her family and her hobbies which included crafts, shopping and dancing. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 26, 1989 at 1:30 p.m., at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry McAlpine officiating. Serving as bearers were Jon Pierce, Jeff Pierce, Jody Pierce, Mike Walker, Terry Coady and Tim Wilson. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery.
