Description	:	OBITUARY Verne youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Henke, passed away at their home in Akron, Iowa, Thursday morning, March 1, 1917, of obstruction of the bowels after an illness of only a few hours. He was born in Akron, June 10, 1916, and died March 1, 1917, at 9 a.m. at the age of 8 months and 19 days. Read More	OBITUARY Verne youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Henke, passed away at their home in Akron, Iowa, Thursday morning, March 1, 1917, of obstruction of the bowels after an illness of only a few hours. He was born in Akron, June 10, 1916, and died March 1, 1917, at 9 a.m. at the age of 8 months and 19 days. He was a bright and lovable little fellow, always ready to play, and was a joy to the hearst of his father and mother. He leaves to mourn his sad taking away his parent and little three-year-old brother, Ernest, besides a number of other near relatives, who will miss his dear little presence from among them; but they are happy in the thought that he is Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe on the beautiful shore, Safe from all harm and trouble Is our beautiful boy. Funeral services were held at the home on Saturday afternoon, where a large concourse of friends had assembled to express their sympathy to the bereaved parents. The sermon was preached by Rev. F. E. Voick, of the Baptist church. Music and solo furnished by Misses Dorothy Knudson and Faye Volck. Interment was made on the family lot in Riverside cemetery. Those from out of town who attended the funeral Saturday afternoon were Mrs. Henke's father, James Thompson, a sister, Pauline Hundley, and two aunts, Mrs. Jessie Cleveland and Mrs. Martha Nellis, all of Vermillion, S.
