The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to the church. Vernon Ralph Dingman, son of James William and Ethel E. Vandevender Dingman, was born on April 11, 1924, in Webster City where he was reared and educated. During World War II, he served with the U. S. Army in Europe. On Aug. 24, 1947, he was married to Elsie May Broyles, and with the exception of five years spent farming at Lineville, Iowa they had always made their home in Webster City, where he was employed as a spot-welder at the former Beam and Hart Carter companies. Mr. Dingman is survived by his wife, three sons, Leonard and Jeffrey of Webster City, and Douglas of Iowa City; two daughters, Donna of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Russell (Coleen) Caquelin of Woolstock; and two grandchildren. Also surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Jack (Wilma) Graham, Cainesville, Mo., Mrs. Lila Mix, El Toro, Cal., Mrs. Lillian Hanen, Eaglesville, Mo., Mrs. Louis (Belva) Neubauer, Elba, Texas, Mrs. George (Viola) Doolittle, Ridgeway, Mo., and Mrs. Marvin (Mavis) Kleckner, Webster City; and three brothers, Isaac of Burlington and Duane and Gerald of Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Francis and Billy. Mr. Dingman was a member of the First Baptist church and the Crusader Sunday school class.
