Veronica Schwab was born June 14, 1930 to Egidie and Agatha (Mitzel) Schwab on the family farm near Strasburg, ND where she was raised and attended country school. Veronica and George Brendel were united in marriage on September 17, 1951 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen, SD. They resided in Aberdeen where they raised seven children and she operated a daycare for many years. Veronica enjoyed attending church, dancing, listening to polka music and bingo. She loved to be with her family, especially at holiday gatherings. Her parents, three brothers, three sisters and one infant daughter preceded her in death. Grateful to have shared in Veronica's life are her husband, George of Aberdeen, SD; her daughters, Linda (Glenn) Kiefer, Peggy (William) Kimball both of Aberdeen, SD, Brenda (Greg) Geditz of Ipswich, SD, Julie (Brian) Jones, of Aberdeen, SD, and Deborah (Marty) Looyenga of Mobridge, SD; her sons Rick (Debbie) Brendel of Franklin, NC, and Randy Brendel of Aberdeen, SD; also eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her sisters, Regina Baumgartner of Milwaukee, WI, Bertha (Michael) Schaffer and Rose Weber both of Aberdeen, SD; her brothers, Bernard Schwab and Larry (Nyla) Schwab, both of Milwaukee, WI and her sister-in-law, Emila Schwab of Aberdeen, SD. Veronica's family would like to thank the entire staff at ManorCare Health Services and Bethesda Home of Aberdeen for the loving care they gave mom, and everyone for their thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
