Description	:	Victor Emanuel Hawkinson, the son of A.P. and Anna Larson Hawkinson, was born 17 March 1891 on a farm in Delmore Township, northeast of McPherson, the farm that remained his home the greater part of his life. He was in Company M 70th Infantry at Camp Funston Kansas during WWI. Read More	Victor Emanuel Hawkinson, the son of A.P. and Anna Larson Hawkinson, was born 17 March 1891 on a farm in Delmore Township, northeast of McPherson, the farm that remained his home the greater part of his life. He was in Company M 70th Infantry at Camp Funston Kansas during WWI. Four months of illness had preceded his passing which came at the McPherson County Hospital on Friday morning 8 November 1968 at the age of 77 years, 2 months. 22 days. Victor was of a friendly and congenial nature. He placed his family first in all his plans, A life that exemplified intregrity and honesty in all his dealings with his fellowman.He had been so patient and understanding during hi extended illness and was optimistic for his recovery. He will be missed in the community of which he had made himself a part for so many years. Survivors include his devoted family of four sisters and three brothers-in-law; Miss Anna Hawkinson of the home, Esther and Harry Pattengill of McPherson; Ida and Clarence Anderson of Lindsborg; Hilma and Wilbert Johnson of Chanute Kansas; a brother and sister-in-law, A.W. and Sarah Hawkinson of rural Galva, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and his many friends.
