He was born December 18, 1939, in Miller, SD to Clarence and Martha "Margie" (Stonefield) Rosemore. He grew up and attended school in Miller. Rosemore December 18, 1939 - September 2, 2009 Vince Rosemore, 69, of Miller, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. He was born December 18, 1939, in Miller, SD to Clarence and Martha "Margie" (Stonefield) Rosemore. He grew up and attended school in Miller. After school, Vince worked for Roth Creamery, Groover Construction and later, he and his brother Gus owned and operated a gas service station. In 1959, Vince began working for Mrs. E.O. Reck at Miller Furniture Store and Funeral Home, where he drove the ambulance. After Mrs. Reck passed, Vince worked for her son Jack and later worked with Dick Frank, John Luce, Mandy Luikens and Tiffany Hofer until his retirement in the spring of 2009 due to health problems. He was very proud of his fifty years of dedication to the funeral home. He took the business very seriously and had a true compassion for the business. While working at the Reck Funeral Home, Vince purchased Dowlite Burial Vault Company. Vince started his own transportation business, transporting for many funeral homes in several states. He also owned and operated the Miller Ice Business, sold Combined Insurance and ran a lawn service. He sold monuments for West River Monument for forty years. Vince served eighteen years in the United States National Guard retiring as a Sargeant. On November 19, 1960, Vince married Barbara "Bobbi" Pfeifer. They lived in Miller until his death. Vince was a member of the Miller Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church where he served as a youth leader. Grateful to have shared in Vince's life is his wife, Bobbi; two daughters: DeAnn (Jeff) Hargens and Marla (Eric) Bertsch, all of Miller, SD; son, Michael Rosemore of Rapid City, SD; five grandchildren: Cindy and Sarah Hargens and Amber Bertsch and fiancé Colton VanDerWerff, Nicholas and Nathan Bertsch; two great grandchildren: Jenna Jane Hargens and Jaymin VanDerWerff; brothers: Gus (Carolyn) Rosemore and Loren (Angie) Rosemore, both of Miller, SD ; two sisters: Loretta (Erv) Diede of Hastings, MN and Leila (Marlin) Jerpseth of Burnsville, MN; sister-in-law, Angie Rosemore of Hawthorne, NV; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Margie Rosemore; and two brothers: Orville "Bud" Rosemore and Larry Rosemore.
