Martha Rebecca Stonefield was born February 22, 1908, to Fred and Pearl (Boardman) Stonefield at Oldham, S.D. She grew up there and graduated from Oldham High School. She moved to Lake Preston with her family and worked in a beauty shop. She met Clarence Rosemore and they married April 15, 1931 in DeSmet. They moved to Miller In January, 1933, where they resided until their deaths. In addition to raising her family, Marge was employed for several years at the Dew Drop Cafe, City Meat Market, and Red Owl grocery. She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, Rebecca Lodge, VFW Auxiliary and many homemaker clubs. Survivors include three sons, Gus (Carolyn) Rosemore, Vince (Bobbi) Rosemore, and Loren (Angie) Rosemore, all of Miller; two daughters, Loretta (Ervin) Diede of Hastings, Minn., and Leila (Marlin) Jerpseth of Burnsville, Minn.; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence (June 15, 1982); two sons, Orville 'Bud' (Dec. 1992), and Larry Rosemore (Jan. 1998); two brothers, Fred (1956) & Penry (1984); two sisters, Irene Dierkson (1976) & Velva Lynch (2002); and one great-grandchild.
