Description	:	Vinton Delgren Scott, whose death occurred Thursday morning of last week at his home in Villisca, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scott and was born near this city on March 19, 1901. with the exception of three years spent with is parents in Minnesota, he had always lived in and near Villisca. After graduating with the class of 1920 of Villisca High School, he went to the United Business Institute of Des Moines, completing the course last Mach. Read More	Vinton Delgren Scott, whose death occurred Thursday morning of last week at his home in Villisca, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scott and was born near this city on March 19, 1901. with the exception of three years spent with is parents in Minnesota, he had always lived in and near Villisca. After graduating with the class of 1920 of Villisca High School, he went to the United Business Institute of Des Moines, completing the course last Mach. His last illness dates back to last October when he became afflicted with abscesses on his neck, complications later bring which developed into sceptic pneumonia. Vinton had prepared himself for a business career, on which he expected to enter when opportunity afforded. Fortunately one of his preparations for his future also was the purchase last fall of a thousand dollar life insurance policy which was paid up and in force at the time of his death. The fact that he has purchased the insurance is to learned by the parents until after his death. Besides his parents, he leaves also, one sister, Hazel, his grandfather, Jonathan Wise, and his grandmother, Mrs. M. C. Scott, both of Villisca. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist Church with Rev. J. L. Boyd in charge of the service. The pall bearers were Geo. Christian, Lester Croop, Elwood Phillips, Hardin Storm, Russell Dean, and Orville Watt and the singers were Mrs. F. E. Shane, Miss Georgia Winter, H. C. Lindell, and Roy Means, with Miss Helen Bunker at the organ. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery, Villisca Review, Villisca, Iowa, Friday, January 12, 1923, page 8
