Description	:	Viola Byers was born to George M. and Emily Gaines Byers, March 8, 1879 in their farm home in Washington County, Nebraska and died at the Butte, Nebraska nursing home, July 18, 1975 at the age of 96 years. Viola and her family lived on farms in eastern Nebraska and moved to Boyd County, near Naper in the fall of 1905. She taught school in Boyd and Keya Paha counties until 1909. Read More	Viola Byers was born to George M. and Emily Gaines Byers, March 8, 1879 in their farm home in Washington County, Nebraska and died at the Butte, Nebraska nursing home, July 18, 1975 at the age of 96 years. Viola and her family lived on farms in eastern Nebraska and moved to Boyd County, near Naper in the fall of 1905. She taught school in Boyd and Keya Paha counties until 1909. On March 18, 1909, in the home of her parents, she was married to Charles S. Richardson, and to them five children were born. They farmed one year at Carthage, South Dakota, and lived on farms in Keya Paha County, Nebraska and Gregory County, South Dakota until the death of her husband in 1966. She became a member of the Methodist Church in Brocksburg in 1916 by the Rev. Walter H. Merrill, and was a member of the Jamison Methodist Church at the time of her death. She and her husband observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1959 and their 57th in 1966. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S., Sr.; and one son, Charles S. Richardson, Jr. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. J.P. (Elva) Ison; three sons, Albert, Leon and Elmer; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchcildren; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Higgins and other realtives.
