On the previous Sunday she had enjoyed a visit with relatives at Seward and her passing came to them as a severe shock. Viola Snodgrass Green was born in Edinburg, IL, and died at the age of 68 years, 9 months and six days. At the age of one year she came with her parents to a farm southeast of Beaver Crossing, where her girlhood days were spent. On May 25, 1899 she was married to Chas. T. Green, and except for a short time when they were engaged in the restaurant business in Beaver Crossing, they made their home in Lincoln. Mr. Green preceded her 'in death four years ago. Her sister, Mrs. Wm. Killip of Beaver Crossing, died on Jan. 10th of this year. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Ada Smith and Mrs. Hazel Hocking of Seward, Mrs. Cora Meredith, Cedar Falls, Ida., and Mrs. Nettie Hansen, Beaver Crossing; and two brothers, Elmer Snodgrass of Friend and Edmund Snodgrass of Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was a member of the Beaver Crossing chapter O. E. S., and found her greatest pleasure in being of service to others. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 11, at the Methodist church, with Rev. W. E. Price officiating. Mrs. Harry Anderson and Mrs. L. G. Gake sang "Jesus Savior, Pilot Me," The Lord is My Shepherd" and "The Road Leads Home," with Mrs. W. E. Price at the piano. Pall bearers were G. C. Atwood, Fred Ross, Roy Huffman, W. O.
